For The Mercedes S-Class combines a very comfortable ride with composed handling, while the cabin is sumptuous and refinement is exceptional.

Against Some of the most desirable equipment costs extra, and the fantastic Magic Body Control system is available only on the more expensive models.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The S350 Bluetec is our pick of the range, because it mixes strong performance and superb refinement with comparatively low tax costs and impressive fuel economy.

If you’re going to drive the car yourself, go for the standard-length model; if you’re going to employ a chauffeur to drive for you, we’d recommend spending the extra on the long-wheelbase L version. The optional Chauffeur Pack is also worth considering on L models. This allows the front passenger’s seat to be moved right out of the way, so the person behind can recline their seat (electrically, of course) and bring out a footrest.
