    My car

Firstly- as the review says this is a nice car for the price inside- style wise etc it's great and people love getting a lift in it! It's good to drive on twisty roads or around town- handles well on corners, and is small enough to be easy to park. There is also plenty of space for 4 adults for a decent length trip

Downsides now- the cockpit is too small for anyone over 6foot2 some kit like steering wheel controls should be standard on a car of this price the gear shifts are INCREDIBLY stiff- I'm a strong guy and I struggle to bash it into reverse- we had this checked by mini and were told it was fine the suspension is a bit unforgiving- you take a beating on rough roads, and road noise isn't great on motorways- you're raising your voice to have a conversation The main issue with the mini one is the lack of power- you have to flog it to get any performance and this hammers your MPG down. In hindsight we should have got the cooper and would have got better MPG by not constantly overworking the engine.

Our first car was a nissan micra which we did similar long trips in and this had more go than the mini- so I'm not comparing it to a supercar!

In conclusion- we enjoyed owning hubert but will be glad to get back in an astra with a bit of go
