For The Nissan Juke is a striking small SUV that’s well equipped and attractively priced. Strong desirability helps keep resale values high, and the 1.2-litre turbo model is nippy.
Against Practicality and interior quality are disappointing, and rival cars have better fuel economy and CO2 emission figures. It isn’t particularly good to drive, either.

The Nissan Juke is a refreshingly different small car that successfully blends supermini with SUV. Most rivals are more practical and better to drive, though.

Target Price team says:
The Juke is aimed at people who want to stand out, so there are lots of optional extras to help you personalise your car.
Starting point for the range is Visia trim, which comes with alloy wheels, air-con, stability control and six airbags. Acenta spec adds climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB socket, while our favourite, Acenta Premium, brings a 5.8-inch colour touch-screen system, sat-nav, a reversing camera and online functionality (this requires an internet-equipped phone). Tekna models are well equipped but are too pricey to recommend.
The entry-level 93bhp petrol engine is available only in Visia trim; it’s no ball of fire, but is perfectly adequate for short trips and is cheap to buy. Our pick of the range is the 1.2 turbo, which is refined, accelerates briskly if you rev it and also benefits from a six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5 diesel is worth considering as a company car, though, or if you do lots of miles a year.
