Nissan Qashqai Crossover 1.6 117 Tekna Idle Stop 2WD 5dr Review

For The engine is gutsy enough to cope with the car's weight. The Nissan Qashqai 1.6 117 Tekna Idle Stop gets leather seats and a panoramic sunroof are standard.

Against The 1.6 diesel makes the Qashqai more relaxing and more civilised to drive, and gives better economy. Choosing this trim makes your Qashqai needlessly pricey.

The Nissan Qashqai 1.6 117 Tekna Idle Stop is good to drive and should suit many people's needs, but we'd go for one of the cheaper versions.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The Nissan Qashqai may look like a 4x4, but we reckon its talents lie with the two-wheel-drive versions. You get the high-set driving position without the higher running costs four-wheel drive brings.

There are four trims. Visia is the cheapest and comes with plenty: Bluetooth, four electric windows, air-con, remote locking and alloy wheels. Safety provision includes six airbags and stability control.

Acenta is our favourite, adding desirable goodies like cruise control and parking sensors. Then come n-tec and Tekna models , both of which have a panoramic sunroof.

Most private buyers will be best off with the 1.6 petrol, while the 1.6 diesel is the top choice for company car drivers. Both offer reasonable performance and economy. Keep an eye out for low finance or free servicing offers on the Qashqai.
