For The Kenari is good to drive in town, nippy and economical, and it comes with plenty of space and standard kit, considering its cheap price
Against Perodua needs to improve its two-year warranty, and the cabin plastics are poor. The Kenari is buffeted badly by wind on the motorway, and it feels out of its depth on faster roads
There's little to recommend the Kenari. It's dated, and newer rivals offer a better car for less money. If you must have one, go for the most basic model
None of the cars Perodua sells in the UK are its own designs, but some have their roots deeper in history than others - and, the Kenari is one of the oldest. The basic design started life as a Daihatsu, and now is really showing its age in some areas, but particularly in safety, security and refinement. Cheap and cheerful city transport for four it may be, but you can shop around and find newer rivals that offer a better car for less money.
Also, be warned that not all Peroduas have the same warranty cover. Unlike the Myvi, which is covered for three years and 36,000 miles, the Kenari has cover for only two years and 24,000 miles.
