For The Boxster is suitably epic to drive and makes a good ownership proposition.

Against It’s expensive to buy and could do with a bit more standard kit.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The optional PDK semi-automatic gearbox is well worth consideration, because not only does it make you feel like a racing driver when you’re going for it, but it also greatly increases the Porsche Boxster’s efficiency. There is also a Spyder version, which is a lightweight, more hardcore version that gets a 3.8 flat-six engine and a fiddly, manual hood. It’s outstanding to drive, but the standard cars are both much better value and easier to live with. Whichever version of the Boxster you go for, you'll get a truly sensational car. However, we'd stick with the standard 2.7 model. It's cheaper to buy and run than the S, and although it's slower, it's still very fast.
