Owns the 1.3 sx great little city car. I also regulary use this car for motorway journeys to work its good round corners and picks up speed pretty well for a small car normally get around 40mpg on the motorway. Its fully loaded with parking sensors, cd, air con etc. The interior is like a VW polo 2002-2005 so not too bad the dial are all the same and so is the layout. Engine is feels like the engine of a colt but with a bit more kick (double overhead cam) uses parts from other reliable european makers so you can get hold of the parts easily and the handling is done by lotus brilliant. All together not a bad crack by proton reliable, cheap to buy and run (apart from road tax), service costs low, picks up speed well done ?13mph in this thing engine smooth as hell. You would only buy this car if you want something different to stand out in your street from all the vw polos, micras, swifts, colts etc. I just like the exhaust in the middle and once you go past the 4000 rpm you can hear the engine work a great little car when running costs in current climate is at an all time high.
When i first saw this car i loved the way it looked with that central exhaust and that rear spoiler, to me its a very good looking car, it also handles very good thanks to a little help from lotus, you could easily have this car on 3 wheels around a track, theres loads of front grip and you can feel when the grip is about to let go. the power isnt bad either 111bhp. ive managed 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds with a passanger in the car and had 127mph out of mine so it is pretty quick. the gear ratios are insane. it will do 113mph in 4th gear! the engine is loud and the gearbox is HEAVY! not the best ive driven. but the engine does make a very good noise though when you get close to the 7000rpm redline. ive never hurd a engine like it. However down to the bad stuff. its NOT practical. theres nowhere to put anything!.. theres No room hardly in the back for passangers and dont think theres a big boot because theres no room in the back.. because the boot isnt very big. to use this car for shopping you have to lower the back seats.. and then the boot is about average!! its uncomfortable on very long journeys and gives me soem back pain. but on short hourneys its real good fun and is comfortable. Reliabily.. been fantastic. no problems at all. but the worst thing is the headroom also. no headroom if you have short legs. even if your 5ft 5 and you have short legs. your gunna stuggle to get in the car. but overall its quick, great handling, reliable, fun, cheap. but thats all it ever will be
The Proton Satria Neo is a good looking car and i think that this is one of the best proton models been tuned for driving. This car really impresses me when i first took a spin in my friends car...it was a better drive than my uncle's Proton Impian.
Eventhough this car has some few flaws like proton's cabin quality and body workmanship, but overall proton had did a good job by impoving this car over the old ones and the interior of this car is acceptable by most eventhough its a 3-door hatch.I was thinking of getting this car soon because its a huge leap over protons old models. This car comes at a good price too, pricing at RM52.239(in Malaysia)it has terrific value for first time buyers and the fuel economy is as good as a Toyota Vios and that's counted economical too.
I have had my Satria Neo since Easter 2007 and I must say it is the best car I have ever owned. It still catches the eye of other drivers and gets more than a few passing comments... what is that car?? I love the styling and the alloys etc. The car is a bargain to buy, I mean what other car could you get with power steering, parking sensors, sports seats, mp3 stereo, metallic paint, 16" alloys... not to mention Lotus handling and a 6 year engine/gearbox warranty and 3 years Free RAC cover...take a breath... for under £10,000 !!!
As a young executive this is the perfect car for me. I love driving it, it just keeps on accelerating and handles beautifully on country roads and mway. I am 6ft 1" and have no problems getting in/out or driving it. What is this talk of cabin noise?? Nonsense, I have had no problems, but if I do, then I am 100% confident in the aftersales service Proton gives.
I opted for Midnight Blue which is a surprise in itself! When I picked it up I thought it was Metallic black, which was good enough for me... then the sun came out and the sparkly bits wooed me, my girlfriend and all my friends!
I have the standard take up model which I love as I'm 18 with a brand new car. This car is perfect in many ways as I can afford it by only working…
I bought this car a year ago after watching the video on here, and reading a few reviews on the car. My wife really liked the car so we bought it.…
