It's a little disappointing compared with the next trim level up. The small engine is just about peppy enough, but we’d recommend spending the extra on the turbocharged 1.2 for its extra flexibility.
The smart money goes on the 1.2 TCE because it's strong, smooth, responsive and affordable to buy and run. The entry-level 1.2 will be a little too weak for some, and the 1.6s are not flexible enough at low revs. The strong, smooth 1.5 diesel is good.

We prefer Dynamique TomTom, which comes with sat-nav, alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers and air-con, but you can upgrade still further to GT Line TomTom.
