Great car to drive looks good dont be put off by the official review as I couldnt disagree more with it!!!
I personally think this is a good looking car. It drives very well and although the fuel economy is not quite what is states, it averages around 45mpg gaining 51mpg on a long drive.
There are a few little rattles when accelerating, but it picks up well and is not sluggish.
The equipment is great particularly the cruise control.
Overall impressed and would certainly buy another Megane.
Traded in my Volvo C30 and so far im really happy with the car.
For a 1.6 petrol the performance is good. The i-music comes with bluetooth, rear parking sensors and 3D sound system which is a hugh bonus.
I had a Megane in 2005 for a couple of years and missed it after I traded it in for the Volvo as the volvo had a lot of rattles from the dash which was extremely disappointing.
Overall i think made a good move.
Traded in a Vauxhall Astra 1.9 cdti sri to get the Megane, and it is the best move i have ever made. There is no comparison when it comes to comfort, running costs and build quality. The Astra was the biggest disapointment i have ever had the misfortune to own and would rather walk than drive another Vauxhall. The Megane has put the enjoyment back into driving, looking forward to many years of trouble free motoring. Can't speak highly enough of Renault Oldham, they made the whole buying process an enjoyable experience.
I have owned a 1.4tsi petrol for 2 years, and am VERY satisfied. Get past the utilitarian looks, and it lives up to its name as the best small family…
Being a mum of two who has had 3 X5's the last being a very nice 40d M Sport, the decision to go to a smaller car was one which did fill me with dread…
