We're yet to drive this version of the Fabia, but as soon as we do, our verdict will appear here online.
The Fabia is well made, refined and offers a broad range of talents. Every Skoda Fabia Estate model is easy to drive, refined and handles nimbly in town and on faster roads.
Some of the cabin plastics are not as substantial as we'd expect, but the Fabia has a hard-won reputation for reliability and quality, so it's better to focus on the interior space, which is generous for an estate based on a supermini. There's also masses of adjustment in the driving position, so finding a comfy spot is no problem.
Skoda keeps the trim levels relatively simple, with a choice of S, SE, SE Plus, Elegance and Scout versions, and all are reasonably kitted out for the prices. There are several petrol and diesel engines to choose from, all offering good economy and emissions. The Greenline II version provides even lower emissions and excellent combined consumption for those wanting to do less harm to the planet.
