    My car

    I have had my Octavia 1.6 CR TDi for 8 months now and took a bit of a gamble on the 1.6 CR diesel as it was a brand new engine for the Octavia. So far I am very happy with its economy and performance. It needs a bit of extra gear changing compared to the bigger diesels but is nippy when you want it to be and a fantastic cruiser on the motorway where I'm getting nearly 50mpg! It is also exceptionally quiet compared to the older 1.9TDi. Only complaints have been with a couple of bits of trim looking a bit hastily put together (metal strip on rear pillar kept pinging off) and poor dealer service. The room inside the car is great; it takes all our gear, surfboard and all without any hassle.
