    My car

Picked up my car on Thursday, then drove the 300 miles back to Holland. First impressions are excellent, it is comfy, has great acceleration, easy to use controls and instrumentation - except for the sat-nav. I am glad it comes with climotronic A/C as I like to be warmer than the wife when travelling. The space in the back is simply enormous, another reason I choose the car. I also added the heated rear seats and smoked windows with sun visors, and the connection for the Ipod, although paying 22 pounds for the cable is, I feel, rather mean on Skodas part. Fuel economy seems to be good, but with only 400 miles on the clock it is difficult to gage. Overall, this is one of the best cars I have ever owned, well done Skoda.

    My car

I can scarcely believe how good this car is.. Was it worth a four month wait for the Superb estate, not half, it is just fantastic. I specced up the car to increase practicality by having an electric tailgate and split level floor plus heated seats which I would recommend as essential options The car’s physical road presence impresses, mainly down to its sheer size, but it never feels anything bigger than say a golf in its road behaviour. First impressions are how totally quiet relaxed and refined the driving experience is, you really do need to check the rev counter to see it’s turning over. The seats are supportive and extremely comfortable and give a perfect driving position, and the boot just massive and totally practical shape, I can’t believe I’ll ever fill it The ride is superlative, and I’m pleased Skoda haven’t fallen in to the “sporty” trap of and realised that many enjoy to travel in peace quiet and total comfort, and are not that bothered about cornering on the door handles. Build quality equals if not betters my ownership experiences with Audi’s and BMW’s, plus has a standard spec to shame them. Fuel consumption is high 40’s all the time, with 52mpg seen on a recent trip. That I only paid just over £24k, with a load of goodies is amazing value. If the ownership experience equals that of my Octavia I think I may well have found my perfect car.
