I replaced my Octavia L&K estate with an ex-demo Yeti...best thing I ever did. Went for a test drive in Scout & Yeti, same powertrain but the Scout felt claustrophobic after the Yeti, so no contest there!! I can't find the road/wind noise problems other owners are experiencing, certainly mine is very quiet & comfortable at all speeds, possibly down to the tyres, I know some have Contis, mine has Dunlop Sports, no complaints at all. They also have reasonable off-road capability, I've had mine into many forests for rally marshalling & also been through some pretty deep water, after checking that air intake was high enough !! Coped with everything I could throw at it without a hitch, can't even feel the diffs switching into the 4x4 mode. All in all, a fantastic bit of kit, but my only gripe is the restricted visibility of the b-pillar, stylish it certainly is, but limits over-the-shoulder view a fair bit. Nothing I can't get used to 'though. Still getting loosened up, consumption will improve as the miles roll under the wheels. My son has borrowed it this weekend, due to the weather conditions around Edinburgh, looks like it's going to be pressed into use as the wedding car for his partner's sister's wedding....good luck!!
I narrowed down my choice of new car between the Yeti and Qashqai and after a test drive the Yeti won hands down on the practicality and handling. I then only had the new car 3 weeks when we took it on holiday driving through Europe to Scandinavia a road trip of 3,500 miles. The car behaved superbly and was a pleasure to drive and the little things it has - such as the ability to turn the lights into 'European' mode by just a set-up option is a treat, no stickers or taking it to a garge to turn the lights. The car was driven by myself and my wife and we both enjoyed driving the car - with the in-built sat nav working great. Could the boot be just 5 cm longer - yes, but we still had enough room to be away for 3 weeks, buy more stuff to bring home - including a trip to the hypermarket and this was without putting anything on the back seat with the kids. Loads of cabin room for both the front and rear passengers and comfortable driving position. Car handles more like a normal car than a crossover like the Qashqui. Good car handling on the Scandinavia 'B' roads and excellent motorway cruising speed and cabin noise compared to some other owned cars is much better. The independant seat combination in the rear is excellent and has proven itself to be invaluable, an excellent family car. End note - don't be put off by the badge, excellent value for money and would recommend anybody to test drive before making a judgement.
Just picked the car up several weeks ago and have done 1000 miles plus on a mixture of local and longer motorway journies, with one foray into the…
I've had the SDV6 XS for just over a week and cranked out a 100 miles per day since I've had it. I had a 2009 Disco 4 XS before that. Sadly I sold…
