Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

The Impreza name may have gone from this car, but effectively the WRX STi is the high-performance flagship of the Impreza range.

As such, it’s basically a single model, with one engine and one (suitably lavish) trim. The only choice buyers face – beyond niceties like the colour – is whether to buy the four-door saloon or the five-door hatchback. The hatch is clearly a little more practical, but the saloon is the classic shape for this type car – and, besides, it’s debatable how important practicality is for WRX buyers.

There’s no faulting the performance or handing of the car, and it has a good level of standard safety and luxury kit. However, some buyers may baulk at the price: the WRX STi is now a very expensive car.
