hi just picked my Alfa Gt up 4 days ago. what can i say wow what a car I have driven BMW and VW before but wanted somthing special this time, and boy is that what i got. This car just oozes class from the looks to the super leather seats and other fittings. To drive it is a real pleasure I do a 20 mile to and from commute daily and i now look forward to doing it.The ride is so smooth on the motorway Mine is fitted with 16" wheels. The diesel engine is a peach just pulls and pulls, going to fit a tunning box to it as soon as i get time looking forward to that. I read a lot about the car before I bought mine and everone said its a great car. Well It sure is
I had this car as a courtsy car for a day so i couldent rate ownership but the GT is good to drive but because this is the Cloverleaf version it wasn't very quick.
The Alfa had good boot space for a coupe but in the back it was very tight.
I have driven 80,000 miles in a little over 2 years in my Alfa. The engine and mechanicals have been very reliable. The electronics and trim hopeless. I have been to the dealer many time and have had little satisfaction. BUT it has been incredibly comfortable and great fun to drive, it demands to be driven aggressively and I have loved every minute. It can fit 3 in the back, but the kids moan when they are in there. Economy is superb with the diesel and the acceleration through the mid-gears is electric. I'd have another despite the problems.
I bought my JTD with 6666 miles on the clock in 2005 - I have had an Alfasud, a Gullietta and an Alfasud GT. This Alfa GT is awesome. To look at her every morning and the exterior beauty is just as fresh as the day I bought her. The interior is classy and comfortable - even with 4 adults! The ride on the road is firm but good and quick progress can be made without any difficulty. She may not be the fastest but I didn't buy her for the speed! The car has been reliable except with a turbo problem that Alfa replaced under warrantee whilst I received great service from them - coutesy car, tea/coffee whilst waiting, phoned updates - thanks Alfa Motorvogue in Northampton. I am an Alfa fan but alway s expected poor reliability with the fun experience - this GT has been a great car and is well-made, comfortable and still turns heads. Go and get one - leave the Audis and BMWs to those with less imagination!
I once owned an 04 GT (the version with the stupidly heavy clutch - a built in gym for your left leg). I've driven both editions since and must say…
I bought my TT 2 years ago, second hand (99 model)with 40k on the clock. Since then it has done 40 more. Service costs have been £250 a time. Timing…
