I have had my 2-litre Spyder for 4yrs. It has brought me nothing but pleasure, the only niggle being a new ignition sensor.
The best thing I have added is an auto delta exhaust which makes it sing like a mini Ferrari.
I get loads of admiring comments and looks especially from the girls - I tell them all i can't understand why everyone doesnt have one!
I tried the 3-ltr out. If i get one the first job will be to fit an auto delta exaust and body kit.
My car is a 98 on a R plate.
Sure its not that practical - but hey, is it supposed to be? Like all Alfa's you tend to buy with sight and heart. I've been fortunate to have 7 alfa's in the past, this is my current fun car and has been totally reliable. Not the prettiest with the hood up, but 'Wow' when its down. Bit of scuttle shake but really not worth concern! Cornering is phenomenal and though not a fast driver, it appears to beat the best german company car drivers here! (they then pull away however as the 2litre engine IS superb but beatable). A car with soul! PS take the spare out and buy a can of puncture repair - you will actually be able to go on holiday with a suitcase!!!
I have owned my Boxster now since 6 month and I am very happy with the car. I went to a Porsche dealer because I always wanted to drive one of these…
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
