    My car

Needed a car that was much better suited to my daily routine of kids to nursery and school and on to work before doing the same again after work. The A2 does it in style! Comfy, classy and a little looker my Audi has been a pleasure so far. A motorway cruiser it's not but for urban driving it's spot on... The ride is firm but with 17" alloys on such a little car that will always happen! Stereo is okay, steering wheel is excellent and trim all good. Shame rear windows aren't electric though my five year-old often fiddles with the winding lever.

    My car

Very good value car. Superior quality to interior and exterior makes the A2 great. Only on a few occasions has the 4 seat layout been a problem, but when you want to carry larger loads your glad they fold easily (flat if you have the boot false floor). High spec for a small car, 4 electric windows, nice alloys, no black pastic handles or strips and climate control.

Only problems have been the garage I bought the car off arguing whether my car needed the cambelt changing (evans halshaw), they just didnt want to pay for the service. The electric mirror knob can be slow but thats the only problem with the interior. The engine management light came on and VW diagnosed a faulty lambda probe. Their quite common problems with the A2 after speaking to other owners. The part was expensive at over £100 because it was unique A2 part and had lots of wires going in to it. Apparently demand isnt high enough to lower prices.

A good car, can be slow at times, economy poor if you floor it everywhere but on a motorway run I have had over 60 mpg...from the petrol =) Wont be changing it soon.

    My car

After years of owning Japaneese cars and those from various other manufactures i thought i would purchase an Audi A2.

Having read the generally positive reviews and liking the look of the design both externally and internally i was looking forward to my experience with this car.

The car was an absolute "disaster" from day one. The engine management light was on which was resolved, but soon after the starter motor failed, followed by the central locking and electric mirror switch which snapped off in my fingers.

The oil light came on every couple of weeks which was astounding as it was a new car.

The "worst" car i have ever had by far. The German percieved quality was not apparent and in my opinion over rated by far.

With the possibility this was a lemon i decided to go and see two Volkswagen beetles from seperate garages.

Both had electrical faults before leaving the garage. Thus i have returned to Toyota and Mazda "happy" days!

    My car

This is my wifes car but I drive it as often as she does. The drive is awful and every bump in the road jolts through it. The cabin is nice to look at but is very cramped for a taller person (i'm 6'1" tall) with visibility being dangerously restricted by huge pillars at the side of the windscreen. Servicing is ridiculous with this years costing £400 for a routine service which Audi also drained the brake fluid and refilled (necessary apparently?!) and we were also advised that it needed a further £500 of work doing. Last year the routine service cost nearly £700 because Audi reckoned that the brake discs needed replacing (car had only done 20,000 miles!). The engine management light frequently comes on but Audi can never find anything wrong with it and it has a habit of dying occasionally on motorways - not completely - just the engine revs drop off completely for a split second and then resume. I will never buy another Audi!! In summary, it is an okay car with ridiculous running costs and an uncomfortable ride.
