owned it from new nov 03 its the first car I have ever owned which drives just as good it did on day one. I want to change for a new A5 Cabriolet but the wife wont let me she loves it too much, to date had no major problems with the car the wife that another matter.
My car is now 30 months old and covered 46000 kilometers. Good points - Excellant hood, car feels well made and solid, four seater, decent boot.
Bad points - Uncommunicative Audi dealer, at 45013 kilometers new gearbox and clutch fitted. New brake pads and disks fitted at less than 44000 KMs. Surprising number of electrical problems. Considering price when new my car does not even have a warning light to tell you its run out of windscreen washer fluid! My Fourth Audi and 10th VAG product over last 20 years. The worst yet. I have now traded in the car for a new A4 Avant after ten months of ownership. I had aspired to an A4 Cabriolet for a long time and mine is a huge disapointment.
Running costs on the Audi cabriolet are class leading, and i have managed out of the 1.8 litre, 42 miles per gallon, although on the website it says 45mpg.
The 1st Audi I have had. As a car, I am not disappointed with it. It is nice to drive and has a good quality cabin. Bought on looks and wanted a convertable. Having looked around for a four seat droptop, the choice was limited. It could do with a little more poke as needs to be pushed to get any performance. I paid extra for the paddle shift and it's great fun with seamless shifts. The 7 speed box is a delight, especially having previously had a BM whose auto seemed to have trouble finding the correct gear. (The Audi auto box is much better!) The dealers areanother matter. The only thing that puts me off another Audi are the dealerships. Customer service. What customer service. Two faults in 14 months. Faulty airbag sensor, (6 weeks waiting for the part.) and brocken front seat runner. (This took three days to fix and the seat belt put back the wrong way round.)
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
