The engine is bullet proof, but as it has 150000 on the clock the frount suspension has a knock and when you have full lock on it feels like the wheels are loose. My next car will be an audi very impressed!
This is a car that I have had from new (now 3 years old) and it still looks very classy. I planned to change it for the new model about now but because it still feels as good as the day it was delivered - I have delayed changing until a later date (possibly 2006) for the new A4.
The 190ps 1.8T Multi-tronic is very hungry on oil so, if you have to pay for oil yourself, think hard! It chews through 1l of synthetic oil in 1500 miles.
Average MPG is not brilliant at 28mpg over 12,000 miles.
Of course the real fun is the power/speed/looks it goes like stink, the 18" wheels are different but the suspension is bone shaking - so if you have back issues forget this one!
Overall, I love the fun/power/speed & practicality of this car but the next one may be a softer A4 or a soft A6 - I have had BMW etc before but Audi have won my heart & their website is the best Ive seen!! (weird way to choose a car - but thats consumers for you)
Tip - worth keeping the wheels clean as Audi want £1900 to upgrade to these chappies!
I have only owned the car for 4 weeks and I love it.
I have the six-speed multi-tronic gearbox, which has managed to lose the lag of previous automatics I have driven.
The equipment and build quality are top notch, I feel much better than both Merc and BMW. There is enough power and response to feel comfortable in overtaking or cruising on the motorway.
I enjoy driving the car and you don't look like another BMW driver, which is an added bonus.

Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
