    My car

I have run a company 02 SE model to 76,000 miles.

There have been no major problems, except the fuel dissipator (mounted under the chassis, under the driver's seat), started leaking after a year.

It's strange that when the company bought the fleet of six cars, four of them had the same problem. Audi recognised there was a fault on some models, but there was no recall. The fault was fixed under warranty.

Service costs are reasonable, due to the huge time intervals (or mileage set by the car's computer).

However, when I took my car for its 60K service, wow! They certainly got it back. £850!!! Yes - £850!!

This all may seem negative so far, but to be honest the car is a great mile-muncher. 700 miles on a full tank, and there is plenty of mid-range torque for easy overtaking. All that torgue can be tricky when pulling off in a hurry or taking a corner quickly - wise for Audi to have ESP/traction control as standard. The engine can sound harsh compared to other models in its class.

The seating position is superb and back-ache free after a long journey.

    Its interior is a bomb-proof.

    Very good overall.

    My car

I bought my New Audi in March Last Year.

I have always dreamed of owning an Audi and I could not wait for the 12 weeks to pass until it finally arrived.

It's 19 months later and I’m still really pleased with it. I have just had my first service at 17500 miles, which cost me £247 inc VAT - a bit on the high side for really only an oil change, but I expected a bit more than this so no complaints.

I find the car very economical, especially as I am not a slow driver. I am averaging around 46mpg to 49mpg, driving at a steady pace you would easily get more than 50mpg. The interior is of typical German quality and the ride is very enjoyable.

Overall I am completely satisfied with my Audi and it has been a real pleasure owning and driving one.

    My car

For my 2004 (04) Audi A4 2.5TD to replace the refinement and driving pleasure of my BMW 325iSE was always going to be tough, but the Audi has managed it.

The diesel/multitronic combo is an acquired taste and takes a while to learn to drive smoothly, particularly at a crawl, but the rewards are swiftly reaped in rapid progress and reasonable economy - about 39mpg overall despite judicious use of the turbo.

The interior is a model of clarity, and there are enough neat features around to show that some real thought has gone into the design. The optional 17"/235 wheels improve appearance and grip without any noticeable difference to ride or noise, and the 1970s-sounding 'Servotronic' speed-sensitive power steering is worth sampling for low-speed manoeuvring.

The DVD-based satellite navigation is great on the move, although the rotary dial used for entering new destination information (remember Dymo sticky-label makers?) is rather tedious compared to other touch-screen systems around.

I have no comment on Audi servicing as the trip computer predicts I won't be coming in for my first service for another about 18 months.

I've had no snags yet, although the CD player occasionally seems to restart a couple of tracks further on than when I last drove the car. I'm also looking forward to when the Traffic Management Centre incident/congestion avoidance system gets activated for Audi sat navs, which was supposed to be back in August 2004.

    My car

I owned an A4 1.9 TDI SE 130 for six years and a day from new. The car was totally reliable, covered 62,000 miles, and averaged close to 50mpg.

I loved the performance and build quality. The handling and ride were average.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time with the A4 and would definitely buy Audi again.

For now I am a pure VW man, having traded the Audi for a Touran to go with our Golf due to the arrival of a third child.

Sadly, the A4 would not accommodate three child seats, and the Q7 was out of my price range.
