I have owned this car from new, registered in September 2000.
Having been a 3-series BMW driver for the previous 10 years, I made the change reluctantly, but due to the car's better cabin room and boot space. Making the switch from BMW did not disappoint me.
It's a delight to drive, cabin comfort is first class, and the interior quality is second to none.
There are no creaks, rattles or defects, after 74,000 miles of business use at home and abroad.
As a budget-conscious company-car driver, I also found the servicing costs very affordable, compared with my BMWs. The car has not had any call for out of ordinary servicing, other than a very recent breakdown with a faulty starter motor switch, the repair cost £175 inc VAT.
All in all, this is by far the most reliable car I have had. I already have three interested parties in acquiring my car privately, when I change it in December, prepared to pay top money for it! I shall be sorry to lose it, as I don't think the new model is quite as endearing.
