It's the best car I have ever driven.
It handles as tightly as my previous Celica VVTi but with the added benefits of rear wheel drive. I have the automatic (steptronic) gearbox, and the power and torque are unbelievable. In fifth at 30mph, without using kickdown, if you put your foot down it just takes off. The torque just has to be felt to be believed.
It has all the kit pretty much as standard as you can only get the SE or Sport - I have the SE. (The only options I have are the auto 'box, leather and a multichanger). It has auto lights, auto wipers, DSP, electric windows all round.
When you want it to be a limo-style cruiser it does that with aplomb. When you want to use the steptronic and have a bit of fun on a B road, it is brilliant.
Even if you leave the DSP (including traction control) on, it still lets the back end slide out a tiny fraction, just enough to let you know you are having fun, and that you have a lot of power to play with.
All that, and I am getting better mpg than my wife's 1.6 Scenic.
This is probably the best all-round car of this size that you can buy.

Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
