Having just purchased the M3 convertible having owned a 325i sport for the past 2 years. Firstly this is the first convertible I have owned, secondly this is without doubt the greatest car I have driven to date and I can't think that I'll personally be driving many cars better. Yes o.k. it can be very slightly noisey, but then half the time thats the sound of the Nappa leather or the growl comming from under the bonnet, which it has to be said puts a smile on the face. The M3 can be driven around town, ok the cluth is slightly heavy but once that sport buttion is pressed it turns into a totally different experience. This is definetely a fantastic drivers car
FANTASTIC!! I bought new on a 53 plate and after 2 years it still puts a grin on my face when you can floor it. As someone said before the convertible can be a bit ratally but that is mainly due to the window cleaning chemical used squeaking or rubbing on the rubbers. As for other faults this car has had more than my previous bmw but they have been issues of electric window switches/relay, and headlamp unit. Running costs are high but to be expected 20mpg is the car average but i have a heavy right foot all the time, on a long journey 32mpg can be achieved even at usual motorway speeds, service bills are not that high either £130-£450 from main dealers. Extras to not miss are 19" as they look great, navigation (every car will have them soon), Bluetooth phone prep and if you have the space the hard top with it on you’d be pushed to know it was removable. As What car says a great car, superfast, easy to live with on day to day business. Buy one today and put a smile on your face.
GREAT CAR FANTASTIC DRIVE....CAN BE A PAIN & NOISY AROUND BUMPY ROADS (CONVERTABLE)....EXPENSIVE TO RUN IF DRIVING AROUND LOCALLY....FANTASTIC SMG II (OPTIONAL) IF YOU HAVE IT...MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY....COULD BE A PAIN IN THE POCKET IF SOMETHING DOES GO WRONG!!!!
When the car works, it is superb. The engine is fabulous. It looks a million dollars.
But - and it's a big but - the car has been very unreliable. It has stranded me twice in two years with a broken accelerator pedal.
The electrics are so poor that for the last 18 months (the car is 22 months old) there has generally always been something wrong with it - and usually one of a few things that two dealers have tried to fix many times but have never succeeded in fixing. And they never even gave the impression that they cared.
The last (of many) warrranty claims was for £2104 - I dread to think what the total is to date.
This is my fifth and final BMW. Never again.

I've had 6 VWs now including this one and it is a mixed bag. In no particular order the economy is poor despite the FSI badging and in town never…
Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
