I have owned this car for the last 3 mths, every time I get in it brings a smile to my face, the sound of the engine from the straight six is very addictive and with the roof down it really does turn heads, the car will accellerate from 30 in fifth gear to when you feel the need to back off, amazing torque,I would recommend this bmw to anyone who wants something a bit different.
I have owned a 2.2i roadster for the past 3 years, I have over the years had various cars, and I have to say this is by far the best. It has the red leather interior which seems to be a little rarer than most, it is superb to drive, and the running costs are reasonable, the engine sound is music to the ears when changing gear and the power steps up, I would highly reccommend this model to anyone considering buying a sports car.
I bought my Z3 2.2 two weeks ago, this is my first two seater convertable after many years of driving, and I wished I did it years ago.what a great little sports car, it looks good, and the sound from that 2.2 v6 engine is something else. Yes, I've had the "hair dresser" comments from my work mates, which fall on deaf ears. I love everthing about the car. If you're thinking about buying a convertible this summer, test drive the Z3. You'll be driving home in one.
I'm going to miss this car as I'm p/x tomorrow. I've owned it for 2 years and bought it with low mileage & at 6 yrs old. The quality & looks are great & I'm always filled with a small sense of pride when I get into it.
The 1.9i gives a good drive but obviously the higher engines will thrill you more. Its the type of car you want to look after because it is looks great. Serving is expensive as its BMW but look after it and it won't disappoint you. I have four kids and for a time it was fun but practicality takes over.
I am sure the Mazda MX-5 and the like handle better etc etc etc but you do feel that certain magic in this car. Running cost for 1.9i are reasonable (except dealer servicing), insurance is reasonable. If you want speed and performance, don't get the 1.9i but I guarantee that if you do test drive one you will be tempted.
Value holds well and the car is built to last. You may see mine for sale soon if you're looking now :(
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
