After having owned a limited diesel manual for two years from new, we were extremely pleased to hear that an automatic would become available.
We have got four children and I can honestly say that this is the only car which does take care of big families. When we go on holiday, there is still plenty of room available in the boot and the children are extremely pleased with the standard DVD system.
The standard equipment is great and my wife is happy with the standard sat-nav. The drive is OK, but you cannot expect too much from an automatic diesel which is this heavy.
It is however a shame that the automatic gearbox is only a four-speed. It would have been an even better drive with a five-speed.
The diesel consumption is OK, on average (school runs) we do approx 28mpg, but long runs take it up to 33mpg.
In general it is a fantastic family car with great standard equipment. We don't have the new stow-and-go system but in the last 2.5 years we have never taken any seats out so the new system is not a priority for us.
If you have a big family and the money to buy this fantastic car, you should.
IT'S VERY PRACTICAL CAR BUT DRIVES LIKE A VAN, ALTHOUGH ROAD HANDLING IS GOOD, BUT NEEDS TO FEEL LIKE AN MPV TO DRIVE RATHER THAN VAN.
