    My car

Economy is good, and my tests match what Citroen / Peugeot tells you on the specifications where the combined cycle is concerned.

This is a very practical vehicle for people needing lots of luggage space and not wanting to buy a bigger vehicle.

Five adult occupants+ luggage is a piece of cake for this van. YES, this is a van with windows and that’s what makes it a low budget, no frills, Multi Purpose Vehicle. The driver’s view is much better than other more expensive MPV's. It is easier to manage and comfortable to drive.

The only similar alternatives at the same price range are: Peugeot Partner (same like Citroen), Renault Kangoo and Fiat Doblo. I have tried the Kangoo a few times and I find the Citroen much, much better.

    My car

I had a 03 reg Berlingo. It was fraught with faults. I now have a 04 reg and it seems better, apart from a blowing noise every time I put my foot down.

They have put me a new back box on, a front box and a manifold, but I have still got the noise. Now the dealer seems to have abandonned me - they do not respond to my phone calls! That's me finished with Citroen.

    My car

I bought this vehicle only 3 days ago so this review must be only read as a preliminary assessment.

My inial view is that it is practical, spacious and very vesatile. As it is the first diesel I have ever owned, I (along with my wife Kath) look forward to much lower fuel bills.

So far, so good - but the real facts will emerge shortly. We will be moving to our house in northern France early next year - we intend to spend 60 - 70% of our year there for a couple of years.

Hence the French product - and a completely different one to our last cars (a Skoda Fabia estate and a Ford Ka)

We will keep you informed of the progress.
