i absolutly love this car, its smart and fun to drive. there is plenty of room in the back for passengers, and everyone is pleasently supprised when they see just how much room there is- ok the boot is tiny, but so what, you dont but a small car for a large boot!! even better was the fact that i got a free ipod with the car, and the docking station already set up- quality!! love driving it in the city and on the motorway. it supprisingly goes rather fast on the motorway without you noticing. easy to park and reverse park as it is so small. love it. a+++
This is a cracking little car: it looks great in scarlet red and is a hoot to drive.
Sure, it's a bit basic inside, with some painted metal, but at least that's easy to clean and and can be polished up. The boot very small, but as said elsewhere, big enough for the weekly shop. You have got to be careful when putting items into the boot not to scratch the paintwork on the inside lip. The boot cover is rubbish and aircon is not an option on the basic model - this is the only extra I would have liked to have added but as it stands you have to upgrade to the Rhythm and then add it as an option which means another £1000,
But it's a great buy for the money.
What a brilliant car. It's ideal for tootling around the town, when you just don't need a 5 seat family car. It's incredibly economical and it's a hoot to drive. I haven't driven a car like this since I learnt to drive on an Mini back in the 70's. My wife, who generally loathes driving, loves it. Certainly it's not well equipped, but the stripped-back styling is part of its appeal for us. It is roomy and comfortable. It can accomodate our family of four (including 2 of us who are over 6 foot). I have some mobility problems and find this miles easier to get in and out of than some much larger cars I've sat in.
I have owned the two door 1.1 rhythm for one year now and bought it with £500.00 off (£5995 cost minus £500). It has done nearly 9,000 trouble free miles and has beeen a really good car to drive, park and run. My wife has driven it on a 340 mile round trip to Portsmouth with no gripes and I likewise have done some motorway trips in it with no problem. It was bought for me by my wife as I only do a round twenty miles commuting each day. It does between 58 to 60 mpg and about 66 mpg on the motorway. Its cheap to insure and the road tax is only £40.00. Well done Toyota for the engine and manufacture and the others for the design.
