The main problem with the car is the roof. Early models have been built with poor quality design and plastic, which snaps. A piece of plastic, owing to its inability to cope with heat and sunlight has snapped. The piece of plastic (a tram) probably costs around £5. However, Citroen will not repair the broken piece and have told me to fix my leaking, billowing roof, I need to spend £2K for a whole new roof assembly (tonneau, rear glass, etc, etc). I am not allowed to just get the tiny plastic lug replaced. Labour will be in excess of £500. I have had a full Citroen service history and owned the car since new. It is a Citroen design flaw, yet I as the customer have to foot the bill for a whole new roof assembly because of their incompetence. DO NOT BUY A CITROEN. They are a disingenuous company - I have letters from them claiming that they have not had anyone report issues with the Citroen C3 Pluriel roof mechanism - you only need to google "C3 Pluriel Roof" and you'll see how many people are suffering. Plus the Citroen mechanic told me they see these almost daily. Citroen UK are a bunch of liars orchestrating a cover up of shoddy design. Don't allow yourself to be conned by buying any of their vehicles.

I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY WIFE TWO MONTHS AGO AT FIRST WAS VERY IMPRESSED AS WAS GREAT FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS THEN IT RAINED IT WAS LIKE BEING CAUGHT IN A TSUNAMI SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE GARAGE I BOUGHT IT WHERE I WAS TOLD THEY REPLACED THE ROOF SEALS THIS HOWEVER DID NOT CURE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT IMPRESSED.
OTHER FAULTS ENGINE SMOKEY GEARS TAKE HALF AN HOUR TO CHANGE
I TOOK IT TO A FRIEND AT A LOCAL BODYSHOP WERE I WAS TOLD BRRR IT WAS A MAJOR ISSUE BRRR THEY SEEMINGLY NEVER SEAL PROPERLY BRRR
I WOULD HONESTLY RATHER TAKE A BATH IN BRINE THAN DRIVE THIS CAR WHEN ITS RAINING!!
RUBBISH CAR THE REV KEV SMERT
Oh my God! I absolutely love this car! I love the way you can make it into 4 separate cars, it's so uber cool... What can I say?
I always have the stereo on full blast singing along to Boy George and the Culture Club.
I love styling my hair while hanging out of the window on the way to work every morning. I wear my sunglasses all the time when driving because it's just soooooooooooo WICKED!!! I love all the shiney knobs and the gear stick is so smooth...
I wanted a convertible but didn't have a lot to spend and had to consider insurance as I was only 19, the Pluriel by far the most affordable option I found.
The fact that the side bars have to be removed to take the roof down completely really isn't a problem, the flexibility more than makes up for it. I can carry 3 passengers&luggage with the roof down, had I bought a car where this wasn't possible I wouldn't get nearly as much use out of it.
The roof is great,I can remove it completely in about 2 minutes,&putting it back up is just as easy (once you've raced home to retrieve the roof bars!). With the roof&rear window stored in the boot, the bars make little difference,I quite like the quirky look it gives the car, although I do remove them sometimes.
The interior is great, apart from a couple of niggles such as the slightly cheaper looking trim&odd mechanism on the chairs. The dash is really funky, the orange digital speedo/displays look great as my car is orange!
I've found the car to be very reliable (touchwood),I just got it MOT'd no problems.
What I love most is the individuality, literally dozens of 206ccs turn up on the carpark at work. But out of about 1500 people who work at my offices, there are only 2 Pluriels (and the other is in dull grey whilst mine is in sunset orange!).
For attention seekers, who want convertible driving on a budget,&need to be able to carry passengers&luggage for weekends away, its a great car!!
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
