Having owned many a car, ranging from a Mazda MX-5, Audi TT Roadster, Skoda Fabia vRS, Peugeot 205 GTi, and Citroen 2CV (the list goes on), this car is up there in the fun stakes.
OK, so the quality is not Audi, and the drive is not MX-5, but a year-old example at less than 8000 miles gives plenty of smiles per mile with few shortcomings.
Do not take notice of reviews - they are so harsh, but don't expect miracles. For the amount of gadgetry and fun to be had, it's an absolute steal.
Do not buy this car!!
I have had mine for six months and have had nothing but trouble. It's been in the garage six times due to leaks and it finally had a new roof fitted last week. Still the problem has not gone away, though.
On several occasions, Citroen staff have told me these cars are not made for British weather so I ask myself why are they selling them! What frustrates me most is that they continue to bring out new models when they don't even know how to fix the leaks on the current ones.
I wish I had never bought this car and am currently trying to get my money back.
I love this car, even though it's gutless up hills. The children love it, when they argue I can open the roof and that can sometimes shut them up! It's perfect for the english weather as you can open and shut the roof at will whilst on the move. I feel limited by only having 2 seatbelts on the back, and would prefer a C3 with the retractable roof and 4 doors and am less concerned with the full conversion. I had the car from new, but have been to the Citroen garage far too many times, and Citroen Fiancial services are very hard to deal with (CAB and traiding standards have been invoked). Apart from the 2 year service, I've had the roof bars replaced twice, the roof trim needs looking at (again), the air blowers only go to 2 of the 4 settings, and the boot has now seized up and will not open. Also, the reverse gear is sticky. Not a very good list for a brand new car.
When my wife first mentioned about buying this car I was very reluctant to engage in conversation (as usual). Must I say it has been a wonderful surprise. Not only is it exceedingly pleasing on the eye (like my wife) but it corners like it's on rails. Unlike I was advised the roof is leak free and the interior is a pleasure to behold. Who said the french were only good for cooking and port blockades...vive le France!

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
