    My car

    We purchased our Picasso in Dec 03 and have been delighted with it. Having previously had a large Mercedes estate company car this represented quite a change but what a great decision.

    Our daughters aged 6 and 8 have more space and love the extra height and storage. It drives very well, has superb equipment as standard - we added leather for ease of cleaning! - and we have received first class service when it had its first and only service to date.

    We cannot recommend it highly enough.

    My car

    Great value for what you get - space, practicality, comfort, ride, economy, performance, dealers are not bad. An easy to own car. Dislikes are the cabin materials quality especially the carpets and some of the switchgear.

    My car

    We purchased a car brand new in Nov 2003, within three months we had problems with interior rattles and persistent problems with door seals (to date replaced three times and needing to be done again).

    We then started having problems with incorrect fuel guage readings. Each problem that has been fixed has never remained fixed and we now have five outstanding faults pending further repairs to be carried out.

    Customer service has been appalling. It seems that once they have sold you the vehicle, they are not interested in providing any after sales service. Their answer seems to be after much complaining and threat of court action to offer to replace the vehicle and expect the customer to pay the difference.

    The amount of car that you get for your money is very good in comparison to other makes, but in our opinion it would be more beneficial to pay more for better build quality and hopefully better after-sales service.

    My car

    My wife puchased the car to enable her to take her aged parents (90 & 86) out for trips since they were unable to get into her previous two-door car and they love the vehicle since the tall cabin and high seating make traval easy for them. My wife likes the car and finds it easy to drive and enjoys the high driving position.

    The 2.0L HDI engine is very flexible and we currently are getting about 47mpg. We also bought the car to tow my glider, which weighs approx 700kg complete with trailer. The car copes with this without difficulty although 110bhp rather than 90bhp would be an advantage.

    Brakes, steering and gearghange are good. Handling and general road manners are adequate taking into account that this is an MPV and not a hot hatch.

    Space within the vehicle is excellent and boot space allows loading and carriage of a large fridge without difficulty.

    Overall level of equipment, climate control and radio/CD player are good.

    My main dislike is the spare wheel being under the car at the rear where it has become very dirty already and is difficult to check its pressure. Our Picasso has alloy wheels but a steel spare which means that you can't easily rotate the tyres.

    Other than that so far (2500 miles) so good.
