My lifestyle requires my vehicle to cope with my wife, mother and two labrador dogs. I also need the ability to carry a large wheelchair on occasions.
The Doblo has a low floor with enormous capacity with the rear seats up or down, I am not "Precious " with motors so it is not treated with kid gloves. I do many motorway miles as well as normal town driving and it seems to cope with it without complaint.
Fuel consumption is always in excess of 40mpg and I drive it quite quickly. The only area of concern is the initial oil consumption which was 2 litres in the first 5000 miles but it seems to be reducing as the mileage increases.
It is comfortable to drive even when fully loaded and the sliding rear doors in car parks is a boon. My mother likes the higer seat level for getting in or out and the rear passengers have a full view all round.
I would like to be able to remove the rear seat to provide extra lenght for odd loads but that is not to be - but I haven't found anything it wont carry yet.
If you need a workhorse with large load capacity but comfortable this is it.
The 1.3 Diesel is more than man enough for the job, even fully loaded I do not have to change down on hills and regulaly travel in excess of 80mph for long distances - unburstable! I searched long and far for a vehicle to meet my needs this is perfect.
