USED Ford Focus Hatchback (04 - 11)

My car

Just acquired a Focus 1.6 zetec 5dr auto on motability scheme, abit awkward to get into after a C-Max, also abit under powered as this is a 1.6 after a 2.0 hopefully things will get better as time goes by, might go for a new C-max next time.

My car

Whilst My Brothers Citroen C3 was in for Repair he was givin a 2009 59 Reg Focus Zetec 1.6i Auto From National Car Hire. I drove the Focus the most and I was disapointed with it.

I know my C2 VTR 1.6i 16v SensoDrive and My Brothers C3 1.6i 16v Exclusive Auto are smaller cars and would be quicker but I really found the Focus Slugish on the Hills. Its too heavy I find to be honest.

Fuel Consumption I found was poor. We had a 2006 Astra 1.8i Auto Courtesy Car a few years ago and that was way better on Fuel compare to the Focus.

Also I wasn't keen on the interior. The Control Layout lights etc I didn't like compare to Citroens.

Also another thing the middle Arm Rest was a pain when trying to get the Seat Belt On.

I did like the fact that they put in a AUX Socket in the Glove Box and how quick the Screen would clear which is a downfall on the Citroens and Peugeots.

Overall I think Ford Should have givin it a 1.8i Auto as the lowest Engine instead of a 1.6i.
