Have owned the car since new, May 05. In 3yrs, covered 24k miles, with just servicing costs. Positives include driving postion, fuel econ and space. Only negatives include tacky, common Ford plastic interior (problems with storage compartment on dash) and awful noise from CD player when you first get in car!? Anyone else with this problem? Otherwise very happy with car.
I have owned this car for over 6 months now and have grown to like it.
It is my wife's car but on occasion I do use it. My car is a Mondeo 2.5 V6 Ghia X.
When going from my car to the Fusion you notice it is a lot slower (painfully slow), however I recently took it on a 400-mile round trip to Ayrshire down the A9 and it handled the hills very well.
It was more than happy to sit at 70ish on dual carrageways and was much cheaper on fuel than my Mondeo would have been.
The ride is good, visibility is excellent and once up to speed, it cruises very well. My only real problem with the car, other than the lack of power, is the colour - Ford call it Sublime, but it is horrid.
I've owned this car for four months and I find it is excellent to drive. It's a good family car, too.
I've had a few problems with it, though - the battery went completely dead and now the passenger-side windscreen wiper has now given up while I was on motorway.
Overall I do like its drive and quality, but I would really think again about owning one.
I have owned this car for a year now and covered 16,000 trouble free miles. The 1.6 TDCi engine is a belter - it's quick, smooth and returns between 50 and 65mpg depending on whether driving in a town or motorway.
The cabin is well equipped well built and roomy with plenty of space for all my requirements. The best bit? Road tax is only £35 per year!
