this is the second one i have submitted, and another problem has occured, now when you turn the car on, some white smoke comes out from under the back doors where the air-conditioning is. and this constanly keeps happening.. and they cant find anything wrong with it... its something to do with the climate control becuase the digital screen keeps going all wrong, and coming out with all different numbers, and words.. i dont know if any one else has had any thing like this gone wrong with there car? but the car is starting to go down hill now, not all that very economical
Please can anyone out there help us?!
That is how it feels to own a new Galaxy. A good versatile family car it is, without a doubt, but DONT BUY ONE!
Our car has major electrical faults: the windows go down of thier own accord, the windscreen wipers do their own thing, the factory fitted media centre is a load of C--- (sorry but I am very frustrated) and we are on the second new DVD player (and we still can't rely on it working every time we get in the car). The cd player has been replaced, the first replacement was worse than the one they took out and the old one had to be refitted whilst a second was ordered, the alarm goes off of its own accord and has had to be fixed and the battery was as flat as a fluke one morning and has had to be replaced.
This is all bad enough, but when you then have to deal with Polar Ford things get even more frustrating.
The best advice I can give you is buy something else. If anyone out there reads this who is having similar problems as us please put your review on line so I can read it.
My vehicle is a 2002 Ford Galaxy 2.8i V6 ghia which has now done 146,000 miles.
Overall, it has been very reliable. The vehicle has led a hard life (I have a large family) and has never let me down, however the majority of Ford dealers are good.
I can recommend the vehicle. I had been interested in the new (2006) Galaxy(tyre injection kit).
I bought my Galaxy new in 2002. The car is great, very suitable for my family's needs; I like driving it. However, from the start I have had problems including air conditioning (useless, in spite of leak fix and replacement condensor by main dealers under warranty), seat belts (locked once, came loose once), link rods, radio (eventually bought a new one), fan switch (internal; main dealers can't fix), water leak (from wash-wiper system to passenger footwell! - fixed this myself since main dealers couldn't), rear bumper loose since tow bar attachment. Some trouble with any car, I'd expect, but I'll can tell you, it hasn't been a boring relationship! I'll be buying an Grand Espace this year and not ever going near a Ford again..ever.
