    My car

I have only had the car for seven months but we all really like it. The 2.0 TDCI engine is very lively even for the 1799kg kerbweight.

There is a little body roll compared to my last car (a Citroen Synergie MPV). When towing my caravan with the Citroen, it started rolling back down the hill when I was towing a 1379kg caravan. The car had to go to the dump.

Towing the same 1379kg caravan up the same hill with the Galaxy (I would say the hill is 10 degrees) the Galaxy towed it up at 85mph - that's why I love the 2.0 TDCI LX.

Overall quality is outstanding. Also, I have the rear-seat DVD package and the positioning of the DVD player is excellent, too.

I was considering a Vauxhall Zafira at the time of purchase but chose the Galaxy as the space it offered was unbeatable. I have made the right choice and the rather short wait (from the beginning of December to the beginning of January) was definitely worth it.

    I love it.

    My car

The Galaxy has to be a lifestyle choice but now I have two children I am every bit as thrilled with this car as my wife and I were with our previous Audi. In fact nothing has been compromised as far as the drive is concerned. A very smooth and deep acceleration, an easy clutch and gearbox and a high degree of comfort and class on the Ghia X Pack.

I thought I was swapping prestige for space but this car has it all.

There aren't many on the road at the moment which is a bonus, but don't choose an S-Max on price alone. There are generous discounts around and this is a lot of great car for the money.

    My car

This is a fantastic car to own and drive. The 1.8 TDCi provides ample power in any gear, even with all the seats occupied. It is an excellent cruiser, and is very quiet and stable.

The cabin is a joy to sit in, and its clear dials and controls are easy to use. The seats are comfortable in all three rows with ample space to stretch out.

However, the only downside is the turbo lag - it can be very frightening and frustrating when you want to accelerate in second gear. There is little power at first then a huge surge, which can catch you out if you are in the middle of changing up to third. However, I can live with it, now that I know what to expect.

Otherwise, it is an excellent buy, especially with the huge discounts available, which means you can obtain a roomy, well specified car for the price of a compact MPV.

I have to say it is a very attractive car (not what you would normally hear about a full-size MPV) with a light metallic paint and dark tinted glass - even better than the S-Max.

My family love the car and I think it is the best on offer for style, versatility, comfort and value for money.

    My car

I am a chauffeur. This car is a joy and in my view is the best value for money of any car in its class. It has an absolutely lovely interior and it's great to drive.

It's faster and its bigger size makes it easier to slide through town than the stately S-Max with which you often just have to sit with in congested traffic.
