I've been driving my Mondeo as a company car for about 18 months now and I must admit it has been impressive. The best thing about it is the level of comfort and driving position. I do about 23,000 miles a year and that requires maximum long-haul comfort... the Mondeo has that in bags.
There are only two downsides to this car. The first is that it is noisy at moderate speeds of 50-75mph and the second is the image problem.
I would happily drive this car for the rest of my life and am tempted to get another one when the lease runs out.
I have had a Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Zetec for nearly three years now as a company car and I think that it is fantastic! The car has great performance, good economy, smooth ride and lots of interior space. I constantly get jibes from colleagues about driving a Mondeo, but none of them has driven a new Mondeo. My only criticism of the car is the woolly brakes, which sometimes give you a fright when you need to stop in a hurry! Overall it is an excellent car and I would give it 9/10 overall. For my next car I will probably choose the new 128bhp version, which should be even better!
The looks of this car make it stand out, it has the sporty look and stance about it, and it's a diesel!
The interior is spacious and takes a family of 5 comfortably, the heated front windsrceen is a must for those cold and damp mornings, she holds the road well, but the omission of traction control as standard is a let down, especially all the other standard equipment fitted?
The one drawback I have with this vehicle is the fuel economy its not the best I'm averaging 38-43mpg even when driven steady, but after all its a fun car to drive...
Car is 3 years old and has done 32k miles, cylinder head gasket has just gone causing £800 damage to the engine, the boot lock has an annoying rattle and the centre rear seatbelt is faulty.
I want to like this car, but it has been a great disappointment. They may be cheap second hand, but don't be tempted.

Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
