    My car

    I bought a 2002 1.7 Puma last month as a second car - my wife wanted a coupe while I was pushing for a warm hatch - having test driven the Hyundai Coupe and having been left feeling very disappointed with it, I turned to the Puma, before my plan was to go for a Fiesta. However having test driven a Puma, it really is like a little go-kart - it handles like a dream and you can throw anything at it and it will take it all in it's stride. It's not best suited to the motorway or longer trips (I drove down the M4 to South Wales and back yesterday and, while it was perfectly acceptable, I did get home wishing I'd taken our main car, a Mazda 6, if only for the comfort that it would have allowed me). I'd agree with the comment about the higher revs encouraging slightly more enthusiastic driving, but as it's such fun on a twisty back road or going around a roundabout, why wouldn't you?! The interior is, although basically lifted straight from the tried and tested Fiesta, actually surprisingly well-screwed together - my one's only got 43k on the clock, but there are no squeaks or rattles. Overall, great fun so far, and one very happy owner - I hope my positive ownership experience continues.

    My car

    hey i bought a Black 1999 t REG 1.7 vct ford puma...well the positives...lovly looks and lovely natural noise, kinda of smooth ride ...not to slow, great for economical reasons, fun to drive, loves bends , nice height for when putting petrol in car, petrol cap at a nice height.

    faults: hi insurance group,rdiculous road tax, very back end happy,car sits to high at the bak, interior to plain,rear seats offers little space, power band sumtimes is abit to late in the revs hence encouraging more agreesive driving and rinses more petrol,blind spots...well its not the best car for vision.

    in purchasing the car on 60k miles within my 1st day ov geting insured my clutch went costing 280 to fix..a few months later i needed new abs sensor,new brake discs, new break pads, rear pistons needed fixing, headlight wire connection needed re-wiring total ov 600 pound so almost 900 pound spent and gess what the car had mroe problems ...the abs sensor and traction control lights were still on.when breaks were aplied sumtimes they wudnt break,a foul gridin noise would occur and the car wudnt slow down at usual effectiveness.

    360miles=full tank 31£

    My car

    I have owned a 2000(X) 1.7 Puma for 7 years and love it. the only major expense was a new clutch (£400). its fantastic to drive and each time i think about replacing it i cant find anything thats as much fun. It has a remarkable amount of space with the rear seats down, enough for a weeks camping! all in all, a fantastic effort from ford and i hope they eventually make a replacement thats as good
