This is a great car, very smooth, quiet and the roadholding is fantastic. You can really throw this car around the corners.
I owned three 'BM trouble you's before this car. The last one was a Z3. The Honda is as near perfect a motor car as you can buy. I have encountered no problems whatsoever I recommend this car. Don't think just buy!
The latest Honda Accord is much more of a driver's car than its predessor.
The only mistake I made was specifying the 17-inch wheels. They really add a lot of noise to the ride of the vehicle, especially on longer motorway journeys. I have a bad back and the seats are a joy to sit in. The support of the seats seems to have improved my back problem. I have had my first service which with VAT came to just under £160. I thought for a year's motoring this was reasonable.
I have had no fault so far, although I have started to notice a whirring noise from the autobox on the overrun and and when keeping the car at a steady speed between 40mph and 50mph. I will be drawing my dealer's attention to this points very soon.
I owedn this car from March 2005 and I have covered 12,000 miles.
I think is a comfortable, soft and low noise car. I have the model with original satellite-navigation system from Honda, that has a very easy touch screen, but I found the cartography with v2.05 version maps to be very poor. It came from the dealer and I experienced poor service when it took too long to offer new upgrades for it, and the fact that no other than Honda can sell any upgrades for it.
I sent some e-mails to the aftersales department asking when a new version was ready, and they never replied. Now I have the new v2.06 Navigation System software and a little more roads are included, but not enough to be a practical item for what I paid.
These days, any PDA has a more convenient cartography for very little cost. While Honda profess to be in the forefront of engine technology, I can't think the same of the navigation system they mount in their cars. I'm very dissapointment with this.
Another trouble I have found is that fuel economy isn't as good as expected. My driving is a mix of urban, rural and motorway, and I'm getting about 25.3 miles to the gallon. I mentioned it to the dealer during the annual maintenance service, but everything was found to be OK, and it was blamed on my driving on motorways and high speed style.
In some cases, I have had 20.5mpg maximum, something I found to be much poorer than expected for this 2.2-litre diesel engine.
It's an absolutely superb car - I no longer have any desire to go back to Mercs (depsite having had two).
It's an excellent car to drive and extremely comfortable.
I have only two complaints so far:
1. The random play on the six-disc CD player only works on the disc being played, not the entire magazine. 2. Now that they have sold the car, the supplying dealer seems to have lost interest in any issues I have raised since.

Owned for 1 year, as family runabout Pros good size, general build quality, powershift gearbox, good to drive, low costs Cons handling slighly…
Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
