I love this car. I have owned seven Honda Civics over the years and this is without doubt the best all-round package they have produced. It is both powerful and practical.
I have always changed my car at two-year intervals, so I should be thinking about changing my 1.6 Civic Sport in April, but I am so impressed, and have so much confidence in my Civic I will be holding on to it. OK, the shape may not be sexy, and there is wind noise, but I love it, and would recommend Honda to anyone.
It's a very good car but they don't have a very good steering lock on them, which makes it hard to park. It's a fast for a 1.6 but it doesn't like to do over 170km/h (105MPH). It's lovely to handle but very dear to repair.
I have owned the vehicle for over 15 months now and have found it to be unreliable. This is a shame as the main reason for purchasing a Honda was for the reliablity ratings it has received.
I have had numerous problems including a new Alternator and Suspension parts and have more or less lived at my dealer since purchase. Luckily, my dealer is very prompt to repair the vehicle when there are faults, but it did take five visits before my handbrake worked correctly!
The car is very comfortable and fuel efficient, it is just a shame that the experience I have had with the Honda is so poor. I would not recommend it to others and would not buy again.
