    My car

I have a 1.4 Honda Civic three-door which is late-registered, so I have the only 2002 model on a 52-plate, and this car is the best I have driven so far.

Its ride quality is so smooth and it's quite economical. The performance is brilliant and I rev it up to 7000rpm. Now I have an induction kit fitted and it just leaves you breathless when you reach that rpm point.

It looks good on the outside as well, and if you buy a VW Golf over this, you'd be making one big mistake.

The cabin is very good, with easy-to-use buttons on the dashboard and a very clear layout.

I have done more than 10,000 miles in it since I bought it and I haven't had one problem with it, not even a change of light bulb.

I will recommened this car as well as any other Honda to anyone, because it's simply the best.

    My car

I own a 1.5 V-tec 2 (1997). I bought it with 67k on clock and have done abt 18k in 2 yrs. The only expense I had to pay other than usual servicing and MOT costs was just for changing a rusted middle pipe of the silencer. Other than that the car is absolutely reliable and the mileage is well good. If you are looking for a family car with loads of miles in town and on the motorway, then this is the best option available. Afterall its a HONDA.

    My car

I found a low mileage, standard example and have owned it now for over 4 years. It's a definate wolf in sheeps clothing. Very quick for a 1.6. I've had 135 on the clock and it felt very stable. It would've been higher but i had to brake as i was approaching a bend! The grip levels are very high, although there isn't much lateral support from the seats and the steering doesn't have enough 'feel'. The economy is very good if driven normally. I get about 340 miles on a tankful (costs about £32 to fill). It's well equipped. It has everything you'ld expect plus the heated mirrors and the added bonus of air con and a sunroof. It's well built but very plain inside. Surley Honda could've made more of an effort for the top of the range model. Looks almost like the base model inside. As mentioned, the backboxes can rust quite quickly. Although as i tend to do quite alot of short journeys that doesn't help. Overall, a pleasure to drive and to own. Recommended!

    My car

There's no frills - what you see is what you get.

It is the best car I have driven in terms of reliability, and I have driven Saabs to Mercedes, VW and Volvo (all of which have broken down and left me with big bills). Plus they were all newer than my 1997 Civic.

Even after 107,000 miles the Civic starts every time and runs well.

Honda could teach other manufacturers a thing or two about reliability. Other manufacturers should read this and weep.
