    My car

Had the car just over a year now and I am really impressed with the fuel economy. It's a fantastic car to drive but I have had a few problems. 1) Rear brake noise/grinding at low speeds (brakes cleaned but still occurs) 2) Annoying intermittent rattle from centre ceiling light 3) Loose trim under rear off side light cluster (fault rectified during first service but is now loose again 4) Slight pulling to the left but hardly noticable 5) Squeaking and clunking clutch pedal and slight clutch judder 6) Leaking transmission gasket - rectified under warranty. Since I've had the car back, there is a noticable wheezing noise as if it's coming from the exhaust system but maybe something else. When I drove it away after the gasket repair, I thought the driver's door was slightly open or the window wasn't shut properly but they were fully closed. It's as if the mechanics have missed putting back a piece of sound proofing material. I'll have it checked out during the next service. I have noticed from the other reviews that the sqeaking clutch faults seem to appear over a 6 month period and is not mentioned on the early or latest models. I bought my CRV in March 2008 so the faults could be connected to faulty batches of parts and materials.

Despite the above problems, I love the car.

    My car

We have had the CRV for 3 months now and very pleased. We looked at the older model x-trail before looking at the CRV and thought the outside looked good but the inside looked very out of date and with problems with there intercoolers we left it. Then we found a dealer selling ex-honda CRV's at a very good price, before dismissing the crv due to price. Totally different 4x4 than the x-trail, keep on thinking we got a petrol model, the plastic around the belt does mark abit were the seat belt buckle hits the plastic but its not enough to dislike the car and if sprayed with a plastic cleaning spray its hard to notice and it protects it as well. Before buying the crv there was pulling to the left, which I also notice on other reviews, the dealer repaired this by re-setting tracking on car and has been fine. Used in the snow and on wet grass reversing a caravan up a hill which has been very good, lots of power if needed (higher revs) and feels very strong. In summary a well made, good looking 4X4/SUV.
