I have owned my Type R for nearly five years and agree that the ride is harsh and uncomfortable on long journeys, but that is not what the car is designed for. I drive to work every day involving a lot of country lane driving and have found it difficult to find a front wheel drive non turbo car that handles any better. Limited slip diff works very well in all conditions, it just takes a while to get used to the exceptional handling of the car. Once learnt you cannot fail to be impressed. Front tyres can last as little as 6000 miles, although driven carefully you can get 9000, rear tyres last approximately 15-20000 miles. Service intervals are short at only 6000 miles. (later 2.0L versions are 10000 miles) Clutches can break between 80000 and 120000 due to a common weakness in the clutch plate, approx £550 Honda dealer fitting, rear seats mainly for show or children under 5ft to be seated in any comfort. Boot is very spacious for the type of car.
