    My car

Have owned this car from new for coming on 7 years now (was only going to keep it for 2!!) I have done absolutely nothing to it except tyres, wiper blades and servicing. Servicing done by Johnsons Honda , Beaconsfield and I have no complaints or issues with them at all. Not particularly a winter car and I keep saying I'm going to sell it. Then Spring comes and the hood goes down again! If you want looks, fun, power at a reasonable price then honestly, look no further. Z3's and Z4's just dont compare. If I have a gripe then it was my choice of the 5 spoke wheels. Getting the brake dust off them is murder.

    My car

Doing 30,000 miles a year. Now has 40,000 on the clock. Fantastic car. Ok so insurance is a bit heavy but just look at what you have. 240BHP of Japanese engineering. Main dealer servicing good (Alan Day, Winchester.) Depreciation not too bad considering the mileage. Best engines in the world. You won't be sorry. Looks great with the hardtop on as well for those "wet" British summers.

    My car

Bought a 99 plate V reg back in June 2007 with 34k on the clock.

Not being mechanically minded I paid £150 to have it comprehensively checked over by AA at the time.

Only concern was the car had only had 4 Honda services in 8 years (averaged of one every two years) but the low mileage and the clean bill of health the AA gave me persuaded me to part with 11k to drive a car I'd wanted for years.

10 months on and 5k more on the clock I couldn't be happier. My S2 hasnt missed a beat and the only costs incurred have been in the last month (2 new good rear tyres, shopped around £80 each) and a Full 37500 Honda Main dealer service (£160 including VAT!!! Amazing!). I was concerned of the service throwing up some issues but it didn't.

Honda main dealer in Cardiff also extremely good. The S2000 is a monster of a car. I smile every time i drive it (especially in the wet:-)) and it is without doubt the fastest and most satisfying motor I have bought having previously owned a BMW 325 Coupe and various Alfas.

Highly recommended although i`m only getting 250 miles per tank but hey who cares:-)

    Best £11k I ever spent.

    My car

I have just bought a brand new 2008 black S2000.

It looks sensational from the outside, the interior is plastic fanastic but the reason why you buy this car is for the engine (and also because it is a soft top!). Past 5,800 the power kicks in and the engine note... simple sweet! People do comment on the lack of low rev power, but how much power do you need in london traffic? On clear open roads, put your foot down and get it to 9000 revs... i promise you will smile!

I test drove the Porky 996, the BMW Z4 and the S2000. Not only is the Honda the cheapest to buy and own it also is more fun. Dont get me wrong, the 996 is an amazing car but it too is plasticy and well why pay £30k on a second hand Porsche which is 6 years old (and costs £1,000 a year to maintain) when you can have a brand new S2000 for a lot lot less!

With a three year warrenty and low servicing costs its a great weekend car for those on a budget.
