this is my 1st honda off any kind..so i went 4a stream [3kids]etc..over all im very happy with it..bodykit wallnut dash-doors leather seats so on..the only thing is the road noise,,really picks up a lot on wet roads
I have had an 2.0 SE Sport since Jan 05 and this is my third Honda in 6 years. It has been utterly reliable, very comfortable and a joy to own. Performance from the VTEC engine is wonderful. The dealer has always been fantastic too.
The only criticisms really is that the middle chairs to not return to their original position and fuel economy could be better.
For the (used car) price no other small 7 seater comes close to it's combination of comfort, performance and reliability.
We got our Stream at a bargain price with only seven miles on the clock (52 Plate).
We have had no problems with build quality or reliability. It's a good family car - the only flaw would be the cabin noise, as the V-TEC engine likes to sing a bit.
However, I would say you can live with that when you look at the opposition - the quality feel makes up for it.
We bought this car as an ex-demo with 3000 on the clock 5 years ago and it has been scarily trouble-free. The only thing needed in the first 3 years (apart from a couple of tyres and brake pads) was a rear wiper blade (and I reckon the garage only put that on just to prove that something could go wrong!).
At 30,000 miles, the brake discs had to be replaced but that seems fair enough and only cost about £250 all in. Just had the 50,000 mile service which was a big one (£400) but apart from a new tyre (puncture), nothing else needed replacing.
The only downsides are a slightly noisy cabin at speed, not the most comfortable seats, front leg room is limited and minimal boot space when using all 7 seats (but I don't believe any other 7 seater is better).
Performance is pretty good for an automatic 7 seater; fuel economy is average for the class. I personally also think it is very good-looking (especially compared to the Touran).
Overall, a great car that feels as good now as it did when new. If you need something that will just trundle on with minimal maintenance, look no further.
