Let's start with Hyundai's unlimited-mileage five-year warranty: this means five years' peace of mind!
Three years' free RAC cover is just testimony to how much confidence they have in their range. I've had this car for five months, and it's a pleasure to drive.
The specifications are superb! The ride is very good, but not the quietest at higher speeds. Acceleration is moderate.
Running costs are great - a full tank of diesel gets me from London to Swansea and back, with a little to spare! The inside is very spacious and all but the largest of people will be comfortable.
The central armrest/storage is functional, and the drink holders (both front and rear) are ergonomically placed.
Electric, heated mirrors make driving in the rain a pleasure, and the automatic headlights are great too!
The luggage space is more than enough for the average family.
The quality of the radio/CD player is superb, but the buttons are rather small and can be fiddly, especially if driving alone. The trip computer is great, the fact that it tells you how many miles to go on current fuel levels makes life so much easier - no need to worry about running out of diesel!
The climate control system is more than powerful enough, and the fully electric sunroof if my wife's favourite part of the car!
All-in-all, a fantastic, fully-loaded car; together with Hyundai's fantastic five-year unlimited mileage warranty, I would say this car is the one to buy!
Excellent value for money, because I do over 60,000 miles a year. Low residuals do not come high in my list of priorities.
This is the best car I have ever had, even better than the Toyota Corolla GTE I owned.
I can't understand the poor reviews for this car, let's face it, you get what you pay for and this is outstanding valuefor money.
The specs is great, Traction Control, ABS, EBS, heated door mirrors, climate control, trip computer, electronic tilt and slide sunroof, 4 air bags, 6 speaker CD strero system, all electric windows and door mirrors. Brilliant!!
If I turn the traction control off I can throw the car around and the road handling is good.
Fuel economy is good, ok, the diesel engine is noisy when cold, but on the motorway, no problems.
Plus a 5 year warranty and free 3 year RAC cover, can't complain.
Over the last few freezing cold nights, my neighbours more expensive cars wouldn't start, but my elantra did, first time!!
When the next Coupe is out next year, I'm getting one of those too.
Test drive one and see for yourself.

Owned for 1 year, as family runabout Pros good size, general build quality, powershift gearbox, good to drive, low costs Cons handling slighly…
Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
