    My car

I previously owned a three-door Toyota Yaris but with the arrival of a new grandchild found it virtually impossible to get the baby in and out of the back seat.

I liked the look of the Getz and had intended purchasing a five-door but was pleasantly surprised at the space in the front and access to baby seat in back is no problem in the three-door model.

It's well equipped inside, with plenty of storage space in the front and door panels, it has a comfortable driving position with good all-round vision. I have a metallic blue one, which is extremely eye-catching and although I have now had it for nearly 18 months it hasn’t lost any of its appeal.

I love the look and shape of it from the outside and its road position is high enough to give me complete confidence when driving with my baby grandson in the back. Pricewise it is very competitive, insurance and fuel costs are low, and the three-years' free servicing and RAC cover were added incentives to buy.

Compared it against other super-minis and reckon the Getz is far better value.

Recommended Getz to my son in law and he now has one too.

    My car

I love my shiny black beast! Admittedly, I only have a battered Fiat Cinquecento to compare it to so it's bound to be a good review. However, I do think the car snobs have underrated how stylish this car is (I think the CDX is slightly more plush inside - although I agree about the trim the rubber door seal does have a tendency to come away) and looks very like the new Ford Fiesta and Honda Civic at a significantly more reasonable price.

The first week I got the car it drew swathes of men from my neighbourhood who gathered to admire it collectively and double-take on the 'I've got a five-year warranty' sticker. I was initially slightly nervous that I was getting a car that no-one else on the planet seems to own, but it has proved completely reliable, and who wants to be a sheep (indeed a sheep without a five-year warranty, three-year free servicing and RAC cover).

It's frankly rude to turn down an offer like that. The cars security is the only thing that lets it down for me - the CDX does have an immobiliser and a door alarm, but I wouldn't feel safe leaving it without a steering lock.

Customer service might also be a let down as a minor repair to the bodywork (due to minor prang owing to moment of idiocy on my part) would have been a four-month wait and three times more expensive than the bodyshop that did it for me.

    My car

I have owned my fab black Getz for 18 months and have done over 15,000 miles without any problems what so ever. Its a nippy little thing with plenty of space for me and all my shopping.

The interior is fine, I don't find it flimsy at all. The layout is good and although I am quite short I do not have any problems finding a comfortable driving position like I have had in many other cars, large and small.

I would recommend a Getz to anyone and plan on keeping mine for a long time yet.

    My car

I have owned my Getz for 16 months. My only problem has been the horn not working (diagnosed on a one-day trip to garage. I had to take it back a week later to have new one fitted.

Hip-hop red, which everyone thinks I polish weekly, but its not true!

It's good at everything but not quick enough for my son to drive - although it is only a 1.1!

I'd have another but am thinking of a 1.6 Coupe - the five-year warranty and build quality are appealing.
