    My car

Terrible car. I bought an i30 1.6 CRDI automatic on a 2010 plate 3 years ago with 10k on the clock. Appeared OK at first but has developed several rattles in the cabin which no-one can locate. Front and rear suspension problems, poor paintwork, steering problems, alloy wheels peel if you look at them the wrong way and the engine sounds like an aircraft taking off on kickdown. A horrible car with disgraceful build quality, a terribly noisy ride (even when tyres changed) and only achieving 40mpg on a long run.

    My car

Sadly I purchased a Hyundai I30 less than 2 weeks ago. I did lots of research prior to buying the car and looking at it's impressive 54mpg urban to 74mpg extra urban I thought I was buying an economical car. How very wrong I was. The fuel consumption is a total and absolute joke. I'm getting 40mpg urban which is no where near what the figures claim. Once asked for the dealer to take the car back and guess what - they won't honour their 30 day exchange policy and claim poor fuel economy is not a valid reason to exchange the car.

    My car

Since my last review I have had no problems, and car is going well

On a recent 400 mile round trip, I did one stretch of around 100 miles averaging 60MPH, and I got 69 to the gallon, even with the air-con on. That was impressive.

Car is comfortable on long trips, so well done Hyundai

    My car

A great car to own. It is very quiet at motorway speeds and economical. It can be a bit bouncy in town with the stiff suspension. I had the suspension looked at twice since I bought the car in Novenber last year due to knocking from one wheel. A known fault with this model. The car is only a year and half old. Would I reconmend the car? A good alternative to a BMW, without the snob value, but better value and equipement.
