    My car

I bought this car 3 years ago from Hytec in Glasgow. The car was a year old with 10K miles on the clock. The car has been a fantastic buy and rates as the best car I have owned with excellent practicality and reliability. I have MOT'd it twice now and the only items that needed attention were 2 front tyres (1st MOT) and new brake pads this time. The service I have received from Hytec has been great and as I bought the car from them I get a discount on accessories and servicing. The 5 year warranty is a huge comfort and has been used just once to replace a faulty fuel sensor. I'm now saving my pennies for the new model - but next time I'll go for the diesel and save some money on my fuel bills!

    My car

I bought this car 3 years ago with 75K on the clock, it was 3 years old and just had a new clutch. It now has 127K on the clock, In 3 years I have had to replace the rockers on the cylinder head, replace all of the 4 heater plugs, all 4 fuel injectors. It has been an expensive time for me! At present the radio plays for 20 minutes then losses the signal, the drivers door electric window is not working. But despite these problems I love this car, its very comfortable, great to drive and I would recommend the Santa Fe as great value for money. I have leather seats, air con, elec sun roof, space for 5 adults and their luggage and I get 450 miles to a tank of diesel.

    My car

I bought this car new - it's a 2.4 petrol/manual gearbox CDX version - with a hefty discount when the new-model Santa Fe was introduced. I've now covered 17500 miles and haven't had any problems to speak of.

I've only had one service so far and that wasn't too dear (under £200). The dealer (MK Hyundai) has been fine - friendly and helpful.

Pros: Spacious, versatile, reliable, well equipped, comfortable, superb warranty.

Cons: A bit thirsty, the digital compass is useless and the driver's headroom is tight for anyone over 6ft tall.

Overall I'm pleased with my purchase; I intend to keep it for another couple of years and then get one of the new Santa Fe's. (Maybe by that time they'll have upgraded the non RDS radio!)

    My car

I have driven the car 80,000 miles without major problems, then a trip to the UK from Spain caused major problems, needing new injectors, fuel sensor and battery.

But the car is a joy to drive on long distances.

Poor Hyundai servicing at three Hyundai garages has caused most problems - after a fuel pipe leak repair, the intercooler was left unconnected for 2000 miles.
