    My car

I swapped my XKR for the XF SV8 due to being constantly nagged that I could no longer pick up the kids from school and we could not travel together as a family! (How selfish of me). The XF is a revelation, overall it is similar to the XKR in performance and handling, just a little softer and less agile but exciting, well controlled and very comfortable. The interior is stunning, very comfortable and logically laid out. The exterior is striking expecially from the rear 3/4s and looks nothing like a Mondeo, my car is Ebony Black with 20" alloys and it looks divine - I get stared at everywhere I go (this could be my good looks and not the car however). Inside it is beautifully built with all controls easy to find and the touch screen is simple to use and intuitive. The start up procedure makes you feel good every time even after a few weeks. Overall this car has given me almost as much of a thrill as my XKR with added practicality, superb long distance comfort and refinement. It exudes class and makes 5 series / E class / A6 look very outdated and is significantly better to drive than any of them. Other cars I considered were an S Class and Range Rover - glad I chose the Jag.

    My car

I bought this car mainly on the reviews of previous What Car reviews and adverts showing the sleek lines, I had not actually seen the car in the flesh before ordering. When I did see the car in the flesh I was so disappointed with the looks, from the rear I thought it looked just like the new Mondeo, call me naive but when I had that thought I did not know that Jaguar are owned by Ford. The interior and the drive are great, but I cannot get my head round the fact that I am driving a very expensive Mondeo.

I have moved from a Mercedes CLK which I loved and felt was a prestigious motor, a feeling I know I am never going to achieve in the Jaguar. Another one of my many car buying mistakes-take heed.

    My car

I've just orderd the best car i have ever driven - I can't add much more than to say my last 3 cars were 2 BMW's and a Merc of similar engine sizes.

Has anyone checked to see if Mr Deacon from Leicester works for BMW or Mercedes - maybe it's their only chance to prevent a shift towards this model?

    My car

I have had my Jaguar XF for just over one month now and I can honestly say that the last 1200 miles have been the most enjoyable driving experience. After a succession of BMW 5 series and Audi A6 this car is like a breath of fresh air in its class. Not only is the car better looking in the metal than in any photograph you will have seen ( Metallic Black is the best colour to go for) its an absolute joy to drive. From the theatre of the start up to the glow of the blue mood lighting, the cabin is an unbeatable effort. If you drive this car and then buy a BMW............ you must be crazy.
