    My car

I've had this car from new (March 07) and now completed 40k in the year. The car its self is very good and has not let me down once, Handling - this is not the best in the world but adequate, i had the same problems with the tyres scrubbing of on the inside edge (had tracking checked at 6k), they lasted 24k before i had to change all 4, now have mitchies installed and the car is a different machine, much more precise and after 15k hardly any tyre ware, none on the inside at all. the brakes sometimes can leave alot to be desired but abs works well. Engine - This is a real gem, bags of power if you use the torque right and mid range it leaves many "better" cars in its wake, the biggest gripe is the economy, you will get nothing like the official figures, i get about 50-52mpg combined, it is getting better as it gets older, the new tyres improved it also but i run them at 34lbs instead of 30. The car never uses any oil between services.

Servicing - The 10,000 service interval costs about £170 at my local dealers which is OK nothing more, the service seems ok but i have it serviced every 3 months!! Interia - nothing has dropped off, the odd rattle and whine but ok, the air con is a pain with it switching on every time you start the car or change vent direction, the big fault though is the radio, the speakers are adequate thats all but the radio is poor and a integrated unit should be made by Kia.

    My car

Hi had my Rio which was an ex demo with 7k on the clock now done 30k, so verdict over the last two years not one problem car goes like a dream every day. ok 80 miles to a tenner is not that good and yes I have noticed that the tyres on the front do wear down quite fast on the inside. As for performance a car that is only a 1.5 diesel 120 mph well say no more. All cars have their problems “but mine aint had any yet”

    My car

Rather unusually I have one of these as a "long term" rental car as my usual vehicle is, shall we say, is awaiting replacement parts!. When I collected it my heart sank however once I had got used to it I was certainly impressed. The engine has certainly got some poke and is proving fairly economical to run. It is confortable on a long journey and in the last month or so nothing has fallen off. I drive a lot in France and find that its ideal for their long, fast roads.(plus their cheap diesel is an added bonus).

My only gripe is that the stereo is rubbish.

That said, I love the metalic blue colour and the alloys and in a strange sort of a way, I will quite miss it when I have to give it back to the garage. I am even contemplating a test drive in the Kia Ceed as a replacement vehicle.

    My car

Bought Car brand new March 2007. Have experienced numerous electrical faults including broken fuel gauge, horn & alarm activation at random. The air con. continues to activate itself - supposed to be a design advantage. Yeah right! Dealership very slow to find and repair faults. Purchase made based on economic running costs & low insurance group - fuel consumption is dreadful and is about 25% less than that stated in the brochure and by salesperson, but according to Kia is acceptable. Both Kia & dealership have been very unhelpful! Involved SMMT by they backed Kia. Surprise, surprise! The only plus side is the acceleration when the turbo kicks in. Wouldn't recommend this car to anyone. My advice would be to pay a little bit extra and buy a 'proper' car. Also, based on the very poor customer service from Kia and the dealership I would strongly urge everyone to steer well clear of Kia.
